Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
Certificate III in Captive Animal Management
Becs interest in animals began early in life with an upbringing around horses and equine care. Often referred to as "horse mad", Becs love of horses has remained a constant influence and has played a huge role in cementing her determination to pursue a career in an animal related field.
Prior to and after completion of Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing in 2007 and Captive Animal Management Certificate 3 in 2008, Bec gained invaluable nursing experience working in general practice and mixed veterinary hospitals both in New South Wales and in Queensland.
Bec has been a carer for animal welfare organisations and has a wealth of experience from working with exotic species within zoos and wildlife parks. She has handled livestock and has managed her own farm of horses, goats and pigs.
Bec is currently studying towards her bachelor of zoology, and is thoroughly enjoying Cairns life with her three sons, her partner Jim, their two labradors Coco and Shadow and DJ the cat.
