Certificate III in Captive Animal Management
Becs interest in animals began early in life with an upbringing around horses and equine care. Often referred to as "horse mad", Becs love of horses has remained a constant influence and has played a huge role in cementing her determination to pursue a career in an animal related field.
Prior to and after completion of Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing in 2007 and Captive Animal Management Certificate 3 in 2008, Bec gained invaluable nursing experience working in general practice and mixed veterinary hospitals both in New South Wales and in Queensland.
Bec has been a carer for animal welfare organisations and has a wealth of experience from working with native and exotic species within zoos, wildlife parks and fauna conservation. She has handled livestock and has managed her own farm of horses, goats and pigs.
Bec has completed a Diploma of Science, (zoology and ecology), is a Registered Veterinary Nurse and currently studying towards the Diploma of Veterinary Nursing, (General Practice). Bec is thoroughly enjoying Cairns life with her family and furbabies; two labradors Coco and Shadow and kitties Yuki and Kiwi.
